Scenic Lake Place in Munnar

Mattupetty Dam is a storage Concrete Gravity dam built in the mountains of Kerala to conserve water for hydroelectricity. A very Scenic place with a lake surrounded by lush green forests. Speed boat ride on this lake is very enjoyable. Many other Adventure activities are also there. This dam is situated on the road side. It gives a very beautiful view of water body and mountain together. Boating in the upside of the dam is lovely thing to do. Horse Riding and Elephant riding is also available. Surrounded by tall trees and water around gives pleasant feeling. There are plenty of places to walk around and the wildly spread eucalyptus trees provides awesome beautiful frames for your photos. It is one of the best place to visit in Munnar.
