Thattekad Bird Sanctuary is the first bird sanctuary in Kerala. Salim Ali, One of the best known ornithologist described this sanctuary as the richest bird habitat on peninsular India. The museum is very helpful to know about many birds in detail. One could go for a sightseeing tour by boating up to the “Inchathotty” Hanging Bridge. This is the longest hanging bridge in Kerala.
